Friday 3 February :
MEAT TRADING is now showing some demand which is encouraging. Even pig prices are stand on with a small lift in sow prices. Beef and lamb are both in short supply.

THE ANIMAL FEED SITUATION on Friday 4 January:
Feed barley and wheat prices are very volatile and bouncing about the £160 per tonne level for Jan/Feb. Speculators are involved again in their quest to earn a quick buck although there are rumours circulating about a previously unknown shortage!
